• Browse branches for foraging behavior.

Observation Notes

• Pacing may indicate anticipation before feeding.
• Head-lifts and scent-testing signal new enrichment.
• Short bursts of activity followed by long rests are normal.

Safety & Respect

• Keep kids behind railings; bears are powerful even at rest.
• Don’t tap glass or call out — observe quietly.
• Strollers parked to the side keep the line of sight open for others.
